Conclusion

These select few are what make the sport of hockey great. They are some young child's reason to play, or an escape from work for older men. They are the inspiration to disabled kids, and also to high school athletes looking to make it to the next level. These men not only have helped popularize the sport, but also save this great game. They all are legends in their own way and deserve the title of hero more than any others that have played the game of hockey. Not only did they establish hockey as an organized sport, but most of them grew up playing on the ponds as kids, some even here in Minnesota. They showed that hockey can do more than provide entertainment. They showed that hockey can be a language spoken in many different parts of the world, and that it can also bring together people from many different countries. Hockey is a great game because of these great men who have dedicated their lives to it. For this, each one of these brilliant men deserve the honorable title of Hero.
