Hockey Heroes

Hockey has had many great players in its long history as a professional sport. Few of these great players can be considered heroes. Some of these heroes, these legends, brought popularity to the game in the beginning, while others saved the game in desperate times. Hockey has long been a game that has been under the radar in comparison to football or baseball, but these select few have brought it to new highs in numbers of fans. These players, teams, and reasons for being considered heroes are listed below:
